The procedure is based on making small points on the surface of the skin through PLEXR device generated plasma, each at a distance of about 0.5 mm from each other, allowing to maintain perfect plasticity in the movement of the eyelid until the end of the procedure. Each of these points results in sublimation (evaporation) of superficial corneocytes without damaging the layer of the epidermis, without bleeding and, most importantly, without causing damage and necrosis of the surrounding tissues. Like all surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effect of PLEXR is not permanent because it does not stop further skin aging. The effects of the treatments last from two to four years (drooping eyelid). Thanks to clinical research using this non-ablative technique, we can achieve the desired skin tone around the eye and, as a consequence, eliminate skin folds and mimic wrinkles. A typical procedure takes about 20 minutes and sublimation points with a diameter of approx. 0.5 mm stay for 4 to 7 days. PLEXR has been proved to be a safe agent due to its non-invasive nature. Nevertheless, most clients may experience minor side effects within 7 days after the procedure. These will be brown spots, swellings and itchy skin during healing. After about 5 days scabs fall, revealing new pink skin. Edema will appear (especially in the case of eyelids), but most likely it will stay only for 3-5 days.
