There are many studies that have shown that PLEXR has positive results in the treatment of acne, scars, excess skin on the eyelids and wrinkles around the mouth.
PLEXR plasma has many advantages over cosmetic treatments, which makes it an increasingly popular treatment method. There is no cutting of the skin, which means that there are no wounds and most people can go back to work the same day. It is much faster and much safer than surgical procedures as far as covalescence period and outcomes of the effect are concerned.
The procedure is based on making small points on the surface of the skin through PLEXR device generated plasma, each at a distance of about 0.5 mm from each other, allowing to maintain perfect plasticity in the movement of the eyelid until the end of the procedure. Each of these points results in sublimation (evaporation) of superficial corneocytes without damaging the layer of the epidermis, without bleeding and, most importantly, without causing damage and necrosis of the surrounding tissues. Like all surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effect of PLEXR is not permanent because it does not stop further skin aging. The effects of the treatments last from two to four years (drooping eyelid). Thanks to clinical research using this non-ablative technique, we can achieve the desired skin tone around the eye and, as a consequence, eliminate skin folds and mimic wrinkles. A typical procedure takes about 20 minutes and sublimation points with a diameter of approx. 0.5 mm stay for 4 to 7 days. PLEXR has been proved to be a safe agent due to its non-invasive nature. Nevertheless, most clients may experience minor side effects within 7 days after the procedure. These will be brown spots, swellings and itchy skin during healing. After about 5 days scabs fall, revealing new pink skin. Edema will appear (especially in the case of eyelids), but most likely it will stay only for 3-5 days. The treatment area is thoroughly cleaned by a specialist. Then anesthesia with Emla ointment is applied to the treatment area, thanks to which the procedure is almost imperceptible. When the therapy zone is sufficiently anaesthetized, the session starts with a few shots of plasma tip, located close to each other. You can feel some heat in the area of treatment, which may be slightly uncomfortable. The treatment time is usually 10 to 40 minutes, depending on the size of the area. After treatment, you may experience a burning sensation, it however usually disappears on the same day. Specialist will give you a special ointment which helps with healing.
After the procedure, follow the instructions. During one week after treatment (or until the skin is completely healed), do not use cleansing products (only boiled water). Do not touch or scratch the place after the treatment.
Most people can drive safely after PLEXR, but if the treatment area is around the eyes, it is recommended that you do not drive because of potential irritation or edema.
As with most cosmetic procedures, PLEXR plasma should not be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women.
